• Air Ambulance Fundraiser Day!

  We are hosting a cake sale in aid of the Children's Air Ambulance service.

  On Friday 26th May 2023, children will have an assembly all about the Children's Air Ambulance Service and it's importance.

   

  We are inviting families to donate cakes to sell on the day. Children can bring in change to purchase cakes. Where possible, can donated cakes be individually wrapped. If you are baking a homemade cake, please make sure to provide a full list of ingredients. Cakes can be brought from Thursday 25th May onwards! Children can bring in change on the day to buy cakes.

   

  Children can also wear something green that day if they would like to!

  

• Easter Egg Hunt

  Friends of Chetwynd bring to you their very first Easter Egg hunt! This Easter Egg Hunt is very special as it incorporates the schools “50 things for turning 50” theme that has been going on this academic year. Thursday 30th March 15:30 – 16:30 at Chetwynd Junior School.

  Hidden around the school grounds will be 50 eggs that you have to find and mark off on your hunt sheet. Hunt sheets can be purchased in advance from Friends of Chetwynd’s new online webpage. www.pta-events.co.uk/friendsofchetwynd

  The hunt sheets are priced at £1 each and for every map completed and handed in at the end will get a small treat to say well done. We will also be entering all completed hunt sheets into a prize draw that will be drawn after the Easter Break.

  Please note:

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No dogs will be allowed onsite unless they are assitance/guide dogs.

  Other things taking place at the event include, Chocolate tombola, name the bunny and a refreshments stall. We would be very grateful for donations from all the children of Easter Eggs to use on our chocolate tombola, they can be any size of egg and all donations would be really appreciated. Donations can be sent into school for the attention of Friends of Chetwynd.

• Non Uniform Days coming up!

  We have 2 non uniform days coming up!

   

  Friday 17th March 2023 - Red Nose Day! Children are invited to come in non uniform. They are welcome to wear something red if they wish! Donations can be made via ParentPay. The suggested amount is £1 per child.

   

  Friday 24th March 2023 - Organised by some of our children, we are holding a non-uniform day to raise funds for the Earthquake crisis in Turkey and Syria. If you are able to, the suggested donation is £1. There will be a cake sale on the day for children as well. All funds raised will go towards charities supporting the humanitarian aid. 

   

  

• Mother's Day Pop Up Shops

  Gifts range from £1-£3 and children will be visiting during their lunchtime.

  Years 3 and 4 can visit on Wednesday 1st March 2023

• Sweet Pea Kits for Mother's Day!

  Friends of Chetwynd bring to you their Mother’s Day treat for 2023, this year we are offering you grow with me Sweet Pea kits!

  The Sweet Pea kit contains:

  1. Biodegradable pot
  2. Eco soil
  3. Seeds
  4. instructions

  The Sweet Pea kit will be priced at £2.50 and payment can be made on ParentPay.

  All orders will need to be received via ParentPay by 10th March 2023 and unfortunately due to the ordering of items, we will not be able to accept orders after this date.

  We will be sending the treat home on Friday 17^th March 2023.

• A note from Buckingham Palace

  We were heartened to receive a lovely thank you card from King Charles this week which we wanted to share with you all. Last term following the passing of Queen Elizabeth, each class put together a memory book of poems, cards, notes and drawings which we sent to Buckingham Palace.
