How will you help my child make a successful move into the next class or secondary school or other move or transition?

There is an extensive KSl – KS2 Liaison program to assist transition, involving Class teachers, LSAs, the Senior Leadership Team, parents and pupils.

Visits to and from the main feeder school occur regularly, a county induction day is held for all children and other transition meetings and/or visits are arranged as appropriate to ensure that the specific needs of individuals are met, such as additional visits available for pupils with SEND to help them to make successful transitions. Parents and the child are fully involved in this process.

School transition processes / information sharing between schools continues and summer term Induction Evenings are held for all parents. For parents of children moving class an 'open forum' evening is arranged, parents are welcome to hold confidential meetings or arrange meetings at a suitable time.

An extensive KS2 - KS3 Liaison Programme is also in place and bespoke to meet particular SEND needs.
