PSHE
PSHE Subject Area Leader: Mrs Bansal
PHSE is a subject to help children stay safe, stay healthy and thrive now and in the future.
Our PHSE curriculum is enriched by involving the children in national campaigns such as Healthy Schools week and Antibullying week, however it is taught through weekly lessons, delivered by the class teacher.
Pupils are taught through ‘3D Dimensions’ program (which has been quality assured by PHSE association) and offers us a scheme of work which has a child centred approach that we can tailor for the knowledge, skills and attributes our pupils need.
The program has three underlying core themes,
1. Health and Wellbeing
2. Relationships
3. Living in the Wider World
This program includes our statutory responsibilities in delivering our Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education offer. The themes covered are:
- Family and people
- Caring friendships
- Respectful relationships
- Online relationships
- Being safe

Whole-School National Campaigns
To build on our PSHE curriculum and to strengthen the skills and knowledge of our pupils, part of our PSHE lessons have tied in with national campaigns. Through these campaigns, children’s mental, physical and emotional health has been supported alongside embedding children with the understanding of how to be good citizens.
Here are the national campaigns that Chetwynd has taken part in:
