If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.
The school has an admission policy set by the L.A.
If the school is oversubscribed, the following list of criteria are adhered to in the order printed below:
1.Children living in the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission.
2.Children living in the priority area who have a brother or sister at the partner infant school at the time of admission.
3.Other children living in the priority area.
4.Children from outside the priority area who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission.
5.Children from outside the priority area who attended the partner infant school immediately prior to transfer.
6.Other children from outside the priority area.
Within each category, decisions are based on the distance between home and school by the shortest walking route, with priority going to those living nearest the school. This applies equally to those living inside and outside the authority boundaries.
Area to the south of Eastboro Way as far as the River Anker and east of the railway line and along the railway line to the Ashby Canal, Lutterworth Road and estates north of Lutterworth Road as far as the River Anker/ Parish boundaries. Most children will transfer to Chetwynd Junior School having previously attended our ‘partner’ school, Whitestone Infants, with which we share a common ‘catchment’ area. Chetwynd may take up to 90 pupils per age-group.
Visits to the School
We are very proud of our school and welcome the opportunity to show interested parties around. Please make an appointment at the school office.
Parents who have registered an interest in sending their child to the school are offered a place in March of the year that the child is due to start school. Any parents who are not successful in obtaining a place will be advised of the L.A. Appeals procedure.
